Diabetes Education

When you know that there are more than 600,000 people in Ontario with diabetes and that four out of every ten sufferers have serious complications, then you know a pro-active approach is just as important as treatment!

If you or a member of your family have type 2 diabetes, our team, composed of a nurse and a dietician, can help you.

With the team, you will look at: healthy eating, menu planning, physical fitness, stress management, low glycemic index, foot care, and information on medications.

Diabetes Education Program

The Centre francophone offers, in addition to one-on-one services, a diabetes education program for diabetics. Support group meetings are held four times a year and enable participants to keep close tabs on their disease.
