Services for Daycare Centres

Daycare Workshops

Health care workshops designed for daycare workers and young children are delivered by Centre francophone workers. The topics to be introduced to the children can be chosen by the daycare workers themselves and can cover topics such as health, safety in the playground, good touch/bad touch and many others, as requested.

Educator Workshops

The workshops given for educators can cover infant development, behavioural difficulties, mental health problems, socialization, and many other topics.

Special Needs counselling in the ChildCare setting (0 to 12 years)

Every francophone childcare centre in the city of Toronto has an assigned Special Needs Resource Consultant.

These specialized professionals are there to ensure a comprehensive support structure aimed at facilitating the integration of children with special needs in the childcare setting.

This support include:

  • Regular visits in the childcare setting
  • Screening
  • Individual consultation
  • Programming consultations
  • A variety of staff and parent workshops
  • Evaluation of the physical environment, specially targetting elements of integration
  • Service coordination
