Free Legal Representation and Legal Advice

The Centre's Legal Aid Services can come to your assistance, especially if you have limited financial means, by answering your legal questions, in particular concerning immigration and refugee law.

Two lawyers and one community legal worker are available to answer your questions briefly over the phone or, for more complex files, in person.

The matters that can be dealt with in the field of immigration and refugee law are:

  • Refugee status claims
  • Pre-removal risk assessments
  • Humanitarian and compassionate ground applications
  • Deportation hearings
  • Detention review hearings
