Welcome Program

Family and individual matches

Do you know a Francophone who has newly arrived in Canada? The Program Accueil (Host Program) can help them to be less isolated by providing an opportunity to meet a Host Volunteer. Individuals and families who are newcomers can be matched with established Torontonian volunteers (francophone or Francophiles), who can offer some help and friendship to help make the settlement process in a new country a little easier.

For more information on this service, contact:

Maimouna Keita, 416-203-1220, Extension. 233. maimouna@centrefranco.org

Host Program for Professionals

Are you a well established professional currently working in the areas of engineering, finance/accounting, IT or in health sector? Do you enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with others?

The Host Program for Professionals connects qualified, professional francophone newcomers with Canadian professionals working in the same field. The “mentor” will have the opportunity to help a newcomer to better understand the Canadian work environment and become more successful in finding a rewarding position within his profession.

If you (or someone you know) are interested becoming a mentor or if you are interested in being a mentee,

please contact Gabriela at 416-922-2672 Extension. 404 or gabriela@centrefranco.org

English-French Conversation Circles

When you participate in our Host Program, you can also attend the English-French Conversation Circles. You are invited to practice French and English in a dynamic and innovative setting. We speak English for an hour and French for an hour, everyone learns and everyone teaches. All this and friendly people too!
