The Centre francophone de Toronto offers specialized assistance for people with diabetes. More than 800,000 Ontario residents have diabetes, of whom 4 in 10 develop serious complications.

One-on-One Consultations The dietician and the nurse from the Centre francophone de Toronto assist people with type 2 diabetes by advising them on:
- healthy eating
- meal planning
- physical activity
- stress management
- blood sugar control
- foot care
- medication information
Information Workshops (Diabète Action) The Centre francophone de Toronto also allows clients to take part (free of charge, and in French) in Diabète Action (Action on Diabetes), an information, support and mutual assistance group for people with diabetes. The group meets four times a year, giving participants a chance to monitor their disease.
